This is very Art Deco silver plate. Some of the design elements are very similar to Consolidated's Ruba Rombic. I have long suspected Reuben Haley was invoved in the design of this line; however, I have never been able to prove that. Benedict Modernisic is not easy to find.

Benedict Manufacturing  Company was organized in 1894 by M.S. Benedict in East Syracuse New York. It was in operation until 1953. Benedict, similar to Christofle, was known for quality silver plate.  If you collect Consolidated Glass Company's Ruba Rombic, you will find that Benedict Modernistic silver plate compliments that glass line.
